The mobile app of the game has been released. On Sept. 20., My NBA 2K announced through its Twitter account that "#MyNBA2K17 RP is live on app stores. Download today!" Apple users can download the game apple.co/2c1gohb while Android users can go to bit.ly/2clQtTn.

A behind-the-scene video was also posted at the NBA 2K Twitter account on Sept. 20. The teaser shows the legendary Michael Jordan at work on the anticipated game.

A new update has also surfaced regarding the MyGM and MyLeague modes. The rules committee will meet after every season in MyGM and MyLeague to find out if changes are necessary. A specific percentage of approval from the league's owners is required to pass a rule. Erick Boenisch —the mode's executive producer — told Forbes that a player does not have the capability to turn off the rule change process. However, players are able to override any undesired decisions in MyLeague.

Furthermore, Boenisch confirmed that there are rule changes linked to the shot clock. Unfortunately, no other specific details were provided regarding this.

Meanwhile, Paul George — the Indiana Pacers All-Star shooting guard — will be the new face of "NBA 2K17" Standard Edition. His cover photo has been revealed, and this marks his first solo cover for the anticipated game.

George also confessed that he is hooked on the game. He told nba2k17news, "I have been playing NBA 2K as long as I can remember, and to be honored as cover athlete of NBA 2K17 is a blessing and vote of confidence that my hard work on and off the court has paid off. I'm excited to partner with 2K and hope to help take the franchise to the next level."

On the other hand, Kobe Bryant will be the face of "NBA 2K17 MT Legend Edition" to honor his outstanding contributions to the league.
